Blog / The Monte Móry above Štrbské Pleso reconstructed
The Monte Móry lookout tower is the work of the famous architect Karel Móry, who even co-founded “The new Štrbské pleso”. The original material used to build the lookout tower was wood.
However, when the object was declared a cultural monument in the 1960s, it began to deteriorate and fell into disrepair until 2017, when it turned into a café. At this time we made wooden euro windows for the object, which you can see in the photos. However, the café after a few months closed again.
The lookout tower is even a cultural monument entered in the Central List of Monuments Fund.
In June this year, the cafe is reopened, which we think is a great news, because nothing is better than enjoying good coffee with a great view.
